Grand Designs – Clever Hands
3 October 2017 – 1 April 2018
During the past 30 years Tommerup Ceramic Workcenter has gained international status as the place where no project is too big or too difficult. Therefore, the list of artists who have created monumental works is both long and impressive.
The unique workshop is owned by the ceramists Esben Lyngsaa Madsen and Gunhild Rudjord. The exhibition Grand Designs – Clever Hands shows a string of distinctive works that have been created through the interaction between
the artists’ sometimes wild ideas and the “clever hands” at Tommerup Ceramic Workcenter. These include works
by Tal R and Norway’s Queen Sonja.
In addition, 15 brand-new works have been created speci-fically for the exhibition by the following artists:
Peter Brandes, Bjørn Nørgaard, Kirsten Justesen, René Schmidt, Andreas Schulenburg, Magne Furuholmen, Ingrid Askeland, Hesselholt & Mejlvang, Bente Skjøttgaard, Morten Løbner Espersen, Pernille Pontoppidan, Søren Thygesen, Gunhild Rudjord, Per Ahlmann and Marianne Nielsen.
The exhibition is kindly supported by
