Ivan Weiss – Clay, Brush and Glaze
21 june – 30 december 2026

In 2026, CLAY Ceramic Museum will present a major solo exhibition featuring ceramicist Ivan Weiss. During his more than 40 years at Royal Copenhagen, he has had a significant impact on the factory’s artistic expression and has managed to combine traditional tableware production with a personal, powerful design language inspired by Japanese and Chinese ceramics. The exhibition is the first comprehensive presentation of Ivan Weiss’s life’s work and also provides an insight into the recent history of the Royal Porcelain Factory and its significance for Danish ceramics towards the turn of the millennium.
