What’s New? presents a selection of significant works acquired by CLAY for its collection since 2020. The exhibition ranges from 19th-century porcelain and rare works from the Art Nouveau period to striking examples of contemporary Danish ceramics.
At the same time, visitors are invited behind the scenes to discover why and how CLAY collects—and how the museum continuously develops its collection to document the history of Danish ceramics from 1775 to the present day.
DIALOGUES – Karen Bennicke and Peder Rasmussen

The exhibition DIALOGUES explores the lifelong partnership between ceramic artists Karen Bennicke and Peder Rasmussen, who have shared a home and studio for more than 50 years. Each has developed a distinctive artistic language, yet throughout their life together they have remained in constant dialogue with one another, with ceramics, and with the objects that surround them.
They say that they read the world through things. Over the years, they have collected everything from wooden spoons, walking sticks and masks to figurines and works of art – objects that spark their curiosity through their stylistic or rhythmic affinity. In the exhibition, the artists’ works are brought together with objects from their collections, opening up new conversations across time, function and value. Visitors are invited into an exhibition shaped by curiosity, openness and an attentive eye for the connections and dialogues that emerge between people and things.
