Our Anthology
A Ceramic Gathering
24. November 2023 – 25. February 2024
CLAY Museum of Ceramic Art welcomes the exhibition Our Anthology curated by Laura Vestergaard and Inkyong Lee. They met five years ago as students at the Royal Academy of Art on the island of Bornholm. Laura is Danish and Inkyong has a Korean/Canadian background. Throughout their friendship they have exchanged cultural perspectives which has inspired them to create this gathering between 14 young ceramic artists from Denmark and South Korea.
Anthology derives from Greek and means a gathering of flowers. Together, the works create a ceramic bouquet which is passed between the participating potters and to the audience as a beautiful gesture. A thank you for a mutual curiosity and desire to learn from and with each other. The only constraint has been that the works must fit in a small transport box in order to travel between Denmark and South Korea. Art doesn’t have to be physically large to make an impression!
Participating artists:
South Korea: Ham Yeeyoung, Han Seri, Kim Jihyun, Lee Hwihyang, Lee Minjae,
Lim Yunjun and Park Jungmin
Denmark: Anette Leegaard Fuhlendorff, Esben Schakenda Kaldahl, Inkyong Lee, Laura Godsk Vestergaard, Maja Ejby, Thea Dejligbjerg Djurhuus and Zarathea
