CLAY Shop

The museum shop offers a variety of contemporary Danish ceramic arts and crafts. Here you can find a delicate
piece of jewelry, modern tableware from Royal Copenhagen or a piece of unique ceramic art.

There is free admission to the museum’s café and shop.

Books

CLAY Shop also sells various pottery books, which are published in connection with exhibitions at the museum.
The books can be ordered by sending an email to:info@claymuseum.dk and payment through a bank transfer.
A postage and shipping fee will be added depending on the weight of the book.

Lucie Rie, The Adventure of Pottery

Same name for the exhibition, which is on display at CLAY until 30 March 2025

The book contains six essays that both describe Lucie Rie’s ceramic techniques and expressions and provide a unique insight into the very private and outspoken woman’s personality and struggles to make it as a ceramicist in a male-dominated art scene.

It is richly illustrated with both photographs of her work and images from Lucie Ries’ legendary workshop at 18 Albion Mews in London.

The book is published by Kettle’s Yard, University and Cambridge, and includes texts by Edmund de Waal, Tanya Harrod, Helen Ritchie, Eliza Spindel, Kimberley Chandler and Nigel Wood. Foreword by Kettle’s Yard director Andrew Nairne.
