Bachelor Exhibition 2024
from the Royal Academy, Bornholm

6th September – 24th November 2024

15 new ceramicists have graduated from the Royal Danish Academy – Crafts in Glass and Ceramics, Bornholm, and now you can experience their graduation projects.

In the students’ own words, the title of this year’s bachelor projects could be: ‘What crafts are and can do in interaction with people’.

The young ceramicists have widely different backgrounds, sources of inspiration and techniques. What they all have in common is a passion for ceramics and a desire to provoke thought in the viewer.

Sustainability and recycling are important themes in the exhibition. This is evident in several of the projects, where the materials are collected locally, processed and given new life in the artworks. Awareness of resources and how we interact with each other as human beings are also recurring themes.

After three years of studying, the new batch of ceramicists are ready to be unleashed and show us how they interpret the world through their hands.
